This CCEI CDA certificate program of study aligns to the new CDA credentialing process as established by the Council for Professional Recognition.

Program Description: The Online Instructor-Supported CDA - Spanish Certificate meets the 120 clock hours of professional development required by The Council for Professional Recognition in order to obtain the National CDA Credential. The program is broken into three Instructional Units presented in Spanish. These units focus on the six CDA Competency Standards established by The Council for Professional Recognition. To assist the Spanish learner, the textbook used for this certificate program has also been translated into Spanish. Each student in the Online Instructor-Supported CDA - Spanish Certificate program receives support from a bi-lingual Education Coach (EC). Each EC is an Early Childhood specialist and has previous experience working in a child care center or school.
In addition, this program has been evaluated by the National College Credit Recommendation Service (National CCRS), formerly known as the National Program on Non-collegiate Sponsored Instruction (National PONSI), and has been recommended for 8 semester hours of credit in Human/Child Development or Early Childhood Education in the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category.
